Of course, and in no way do I think you can survive in the world without some form of education, or sharing of knowledge.

But even with the like of apprenticeships, of course they learn the skills via the experiences of their ‘master’, but they also learn to execute them rather than just ‘know’ them, and that is where they begin to set themselves apart.

I am a huge believer in learning on the job, or learning by doing. I think the school/further education, mines anyways, taught me basic knowledge, and some life skills, but nothing that helped me advance my career.

I am totally self taught, so I guess this is where my viewpoint comes from.
