I'll assume you landed here to find out a little more about the person behind those truly incredible words you just read. (Right?!)

So, here goes.

I'm Stephen. I'm a writer (duh) and editor, though I didn't take the conventional route to get here.

In the 10 years since I graduated from university, I've put together a pretty messy CV. I've been everything from a hospitality worker, to a founder and business owner, to a hobbyist-writer, to a hobbyist furniture maker, to a full-time writer and editor. As words became more of my day-to-day life, I've been EIC of the Post Grad Survival Guide, Editor and Creator Consultant at Medium itself, where I ran the Index publication, and helped with Marker and OneZero, and I'm currently part of the editorial team at the Entrepreneur's Handbook. All while writing on this platform since late 2016. Yes, back in the days were we used love heart recommends, the claps didn't exist and... you didn't get paid! From those humble beginnings, I've built an audience of over 50,000, and earned thousands of dollars on the platform.

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster.

These days, I've narrowed my focus. I write about business and tech, often taking a critical view of what's happening around us. Some of my favourite articles I've written over the last few years can be read here, here, here and here.

I also ghost-write/edit the odd book or article, working with some really shithot CEOs and founders, and currently have an editorial role at a Marketing Agency.

In sum, I'm just doing my thing and getting paid enough to survive doing it.
